    Hi,
Myself and 3 German mates wanted to do a cruise along the Shannon for a week in August. These chaps are musicians and wanted to stop off at a couple of pubs playing a few tunes...they play acoustic guitars and vocals and play at street festivals around europe.

    So 2 ?'s
What's the best bit of the Shannon for a bit of craic and good pubs.

Are the pubs there in general musician friendly?

    Thanks for some info
    d.

I don't have a lot of info for you, I know kileens in Shannon Bridge might be one spot that would not mind the session but the biggest challenge might be hitting the pubs when there is a bit of a crowd. Not much going on weeknight anymore due to the recession so a weekend is your best bet or ring ahead and try arrange something.

I am too far from the shannon being about 30 minutes from there but we have some good sessions with locals playing music on Wednesday nights.
