    i3-530 if you're on a budget, i5-750 if you're not, i7-860 if you want/need your own personal pocket supercomputer.

    triple channel ram would be helpful.

    i7-920 gets my recommendation.

    AMD - small Budget (Best choice if you don't want to throw 1000s into your PC)
    i3 - higher budget (Heard nothing, seems good)
    i5 - No budget (Very good from what I've heard)
    i7 - rich (best CPU, but don't get it unless your going to use the full thing)
