H cowls and high winds

Hi all, I have a solid fuel stove which even on calm cold nights with dense air still provides enough draught for the chimney to work fine. My problem is when it's blowing a gale, the chimney is sucking the heat out of the room even when the fire is not lit and howls like a banshee while it's doing so.
Therefore, I'm looking for a chimney cowl that doesn't create too much draught in high winds. Anyway, Wiki mentioned H style and lobster back cowls as possible options. So, does anyone have experience of the H style or lobster back cowls and how they are affected by different wind speeds and directions?
    Thanks d2ww
