Frozen Lough Gur, Co Limerick

    I was at Lough Gur, Bruff, Co Limerick yesterday and it is frozen solid. Unbelievable, I'd estimate 4" - 6" deep ice. No-one was paying the slightest attention to the 'stay off the ice' signs though, there was people out on it Ice-Skating, walking their dogs AND their children. I even saw a few crazy ladies pushing their children in buggies across the ice:eek: Madness!!
    It's beautiful to look at, but I fear it's only a matter of time before some poor soul ends up falling through the ice.
