    We don't have freeview here. Well they do up the north and in the UK but for the Republic it is of zero use. (and before someone hops on saying in wexford it is fine picking up the muxes from Wales...)

    What you need is a freesat box for what you are planning on doing Joey. Or any other FTA receiver.

    Freeview can be used in the border areas of Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Donegal and Louth areas too-so "zero use" is not the correct term.

    You may get audio from RTÉ, TV3 and TG4 with that box. Depending on reception.

    The boxes are unfortunately not all the same...

    Freeview uses an aerial to get its signal where Freesat/Sky use a satellite. Neither is interchangeable.
