SkyHD Install

    im getting Sky HD installed saturday week, i currently have a vanilla sky+ box

    would anyone advise me to ask the installer for any specific box make? pace, thompson, samsung, amstrad?

    are they "ALL" now on the new HD EPG? anyone thought to be better than others?

    does anyone know if he will have to run 2 new cables to where the HD box will be or will he use the existing cable for my current sky+ box?

    I don't think the Amstrad boxes have the new epg yet,
    they will use the existing cables (probably) .

    you should ask to get a new cable run to second tv point to utilise the existing sky box, (you will have to pay for it though)

    and remember you will not be able to view any programs that are on the existing box,

    of course this is assuming you are not getting multiroom,
