    Hey all,
I am looking for a decent client relations management system software, getting away from excel sheets and moving forward, about time :)
Has anyone any good experience with anything in particular? Thanks in advance!

we use SAGE CRM. small company 12 users and we are improving it all the time, with using the extra features.
management love the ease of running reports - you cant do that on excel.

there are improvement and some limitations with SAGE CRM but, to date it is suiting our needs.

Have heard from a marketing consultant that Sage ACT is supposed to be good, they use it themselves. http://www.act.com/ might be worth a look?

    Wherenext,

Rather than taking general advice on management software you should look at what software is available for your specific industry.

I your DRIVE practice management from relate software in Dublin. It designed for my industry (Accountant) and does most of what I need (including document management).

A client of mine is using Mamut software. I advised him on this on the basis that it is CRM software with accounts added on. Too often software is the other way around. It's expensive but ideal for his particular circumstances.

Another client is using Herbst software. Again this is software which has within it a module for his specific industry and has greatly reduced is admin costs.

Let us know what industry you are in and maybe someone will point you in the direction of an industry specific solution.

SageCRM, Microsoft CRM and ACT are all excellent solutions, which themselves can be tailored, but sometimes contain so may options that they are confusing.

A previous respondent mentions freshbooks and basecamp which are hosted solutions. These type of solutions are definitely the future of computing and offer great flexibility.

    Regards,
    Michael

One of my clients uses Mamut business software which includes CRM, The big plus on this is your CRM is fully integrated into your accounts package and your not paying for and running two separate packages.

I've a version of Mamut running here if you'd like to ask anything please feel free.
