URGENT: wipers

This morning the pump for the screen wash wasn't working on my 206. (rear and front)

Didn't try it a second time incase of frozen water, poured barely warm water into screen wash system and left engine running for a few mins and the screen wash was working again. Only problem now is when the jets have finished spraying the wiper normally does another 3 swipes of the windscreen. My wipers wont even switch off!!! I tried putting them on 1st turn (auto setting of every few seconds) 2nd turn (moderate and continuous wipe) and then finally 3rd turn (top speed wipe). The top speed wipe worked but the other 2 were just continuos slow wipes, as if the water was still sprayin on to the screen. Switched the wipers off on the stem, but they're still wiping! It's not doing it on the rear, once spray is finished on rear the wipers stop. I had to switch the car off to stop the wipers. When I switched her back on they were working normally again, but the minute I tried the screen wash I was back to square one with the wipers continuously going and wouldn't stop til the engine was turned off.

P.s. This may be unrelated but last night my left front indicator blew and haven't got the chance to get a spare yet. Also my wipers have never done this, even on previous mornings the pump for the screen wash wouldn't work when I tried.

There's obviously something up with the control units or switches. The only thing you can do is see a mechanic. Ideally, a Peugeot specialist or worst case scenario, a dealer. If you must use the car, you'll have to avoid using teh wipers because you'll almost certainly cause other problems driving with wipers on a dry screen.

It could be either a comms 2000 or a Bsi fault...
Maybe try a bsi reboot and follow the instructions in the following link...:)
    http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=peugeot_bsi_reboot_process
After that if you know someone with Planet or someone who has a good diagnostic m/c the should be able to check the bsi....:)
