    This old chesnut?
    While the theory is a compelling one, the evidence is not particularly. It will take more discoveries before this idea can be verified. I just hope they aren't still relying on Protoavis and/or Longisquama as potential protobirds.
    Although I havent read the updated theory, the old one relied on the elongate scales theory, which has more or less been debunked. Unless they have sufficiently updated the theory, it will be thrown out again.
