    The last time I called them (2 days ago) they were helpful. I'll wait until something goes wrong before I say they've improved.

    They have had announcements like this before and little has changed but I would like to think it will.

    I've had cause to call them three times in the past 7 days and each time I spoke to an intelligent and helpful Irish person who sorted me out. The calls concerned upgrades and self-installs so the fact that I had to call them three times is no reflection on their service.

    Mostly I've found them quite good these days.

    Except when I tried to get the HD activated before waiting a day. I called the automated self-install number, and it rejected my account number. Then when I called customer care the one said "Oh well then just select the option for not having the account number, cause I can't do anything about it" and even though I made it quite clear that I was 99% positive there was no such option on the self-install, she insisted there was.

    And there wasn't. When I called back the same number though, the guy I got sorted it all out (though I had been hoping to get the same woman, and bite her head off)

    Next time you call ask for their extension number they might not have to give you one but if they do you can get back to the same person who gave you the wrong info and argue whos right till either you or her/him has blood pouring out your ears.
