Biting the inside of my cheek

Not strictly dental but my teeth are responsible for the situation so I'm hoping I'm not moved ;)

I had the "build up" for a crown yesterday (please see Run for da Hills' thread on crowns).

And today, the same "built up" tooth plus its buddy overhead have made mincemeat of the inside of my mouth.:mad:

    Could anyone please explain

    (a) why am I doing this?
    (b) what can I do to stop it before I have a hole in my cheek :(

    Thanks in advance.
