Not strictly dental but my teeth are responsible for the situation so I'm hoping I'm not moved ;) I had the "build up" for a crown yesterday (please see Run for da Hills' thread on crowns). I had the "build up" for a crown yesterday (please see Run for da Hills' thread on crowns).

Could anyone please explain

(a) why am I doing this?
(b) what can I do to stop it before I have a hole in my cheek
