Posted a question about E3 over on the broadcasting forum and they suggested I ask it over here.

I saw an advertisment that the Cleveland show was to be shown on E3, I'll be honest and say I'd never watched anything on that channel before. I switched over only to see the following banner "for your information 28 no satellite signal being received". I've tried watching but the best I've gotten has been a stop/go picture with perfect sound strangely enough.

The only similar problem I've had has been dmax 144/45 no picture what so ever on occasion and no channels what so ever during very heavy rain.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with e3 and how do we solve them.
I have a sky + (pre anytime) box, on the basic package. Thanks in advance.

    u keep saying "e3" but surely u mean the channel "3e" ????????

anaway, sounds as if your dish has moved slightly recently and isnt aligned correctly thus not receiving some channels

Or check to see is there any snow sitting on the lnb ( the little unit at the end of the arm comming out from the dish ) or on the dish.

My bad indeed I meant 3e, as for adjusting my dish, just so I can watch that channel; I don't think so. Every other channel is perfect, so I don't think I'll risk losing other channels, plus signal test on the sky box seems perfectly ok to my untrained eye.

Thanks anyway guys. I'll just have to wait till The cleveland show is on another channel.

Have you a DECT cordless phone anywhere near ? These can affect digiboxes similar to the way you're experiencing. Try unplugging the DECT phone and see if that solves your problem.

    If you do the following:
    Press "Services"
    Go to "System Setup"
Press "0", then "1" followed by "Select" in quick sequence (don't worry if it appears to do nothing at first - this is normal)
    Go to "Manual Tuning".

    Enter the following:
Frequency (GHz): 11.261 (type the five digits in - decimal point added automatically)
Polarisation: H (use left/right arrow keys to choose)
Symbol Rate (Mbaud): 27.5 (use left/right arrow keys to choose)
FEC: 2/3 (use left/right arrow keys to choose)

    Press "Select".

After a few seconds, a signal strength screen should appear. This gives you the actual reading for the transponder 3e is carried on, and not the default transponder which you get in Services > System Setup > Signal Test. If your dish is out of alignment, then this screen will probably show weak (or no) readings.

    OK tried that Ken

Input 1 signal strength shows grey bar shows 3/4 available area
Input 1 signal quality as above
    input lock indicator OK
    input network ID 0004
    input 1 transport stream 07d4

input 2 signal strength again grey bar 3/4
input 2 signal quality as above
    input 2 lock indicator OK

pressed yellow button to add channel and picture is now perfect on other channels plus on 105
    Thanks
