    Hi bit of advice

Girlfriend and I will be heading to Arzona in couple of months, her sister has put us in a half marathon, I've done 26 miles before and it won't be a problem, but my girlfriend who's never even walked more than 5 miles anyway the marathon is on Sunday 28 of March and we'll be flying from AZ to Alanta then from there to Dublin,

concidering she's doing the marathon and hasn't done it before is it advisable to do a marathone considering you'll be flying from 12.50 on Monday ?

Don't see how it could be a problem. I've flown the day after both marathons I've done, no problems.

Bit stiff walking through the airport, but manageble.

no pb flying straight after crossing the finish line..
Pb i see for your gf is more about covering the distance (half or marathon, unclear from your post) unless she starts training seriously very quickly.

No problem, I got a flight the day after my last marathon... just give yourself plenty of time - the last thing you'll want is to have to run to the boarding gate!

I have quite often flown within hours of finishing a marathon without any problems.

Same here. I have twice flown the day after a marathon and there were no problems.

The walking you'd have to do in the airport will probably be more than you'd do otherwise the day after a marathon, so probably good for you in getting the legs moving again.

and during the flight take a few short walks up and down the aisle to keep the legs from totally seizing up. I've flown a day after a marathon but the flight was only 2 hours.

I flew home about 2 hours after finishing the Amsterdam half marathon last year with no problems - although the flight was only a couple of hours.

The major concern I would have if I were you is the fact that your girlfriend is going to run a half marathon in a couple of months with no training
