I was on the JSB for about 2 weeks back in October/November. I got a job so I went in the Friday before I started work and asked to sign off. Anyway the woman there told me I was owed half a week, around €100, and it would be posted out to my house. Its been 2 months now and no sign of a cheque? I don't have time to go into my local welfare office and trying to ring them is pointless, in fact when I was applying for the JSB I asked them why they don't answer the phones and the woman there stated matter of factly "Oh we never answer the phones here".

Does anyone can I go into any welfare office and ask them about it or is there an email address I can contact?

Is there any day at all you can make it in? if not could you ask someone else to go in and explain for you?
Its a pity you can't call... I guess things just differ from office to office because my local office is good for answering the phone thank goodness.

Id imagine this is just some stupid mistake on someones behalf and it wouldnt take long to resolve so maybe sending someone in, maybe a parent, partner, sibling or close friend explaining your working and cant make it in etc.

I got an email off the social welfare website before and tried emailing them, that was about 3 months ago and havent received an answer since lol

they will not give any info to your friend regards you.write a letter and have your friend hand it in for you, that way you can be sure they get it.
