US PSN accounts.

Sorry if this has been done before but I have a couple of a noob questions regarding US PSN Accounts.

If I set up a US PSN account and DL a couple of PS1 games will they simply be sitting on the XMB with the rest of my games when I power on the console?

The other question is, is there a simple way to get around the need for a US credit card?

Yeah, when you download the games you can play them under any account eg. your normal (Euro) account. You can use an Irish Visa to purchase stuff on the US store, otherwise you can buy psn credit of eBay I guess.

What bank is your Visa card issued by CombatCow? I have an MBNA Visa card and I can't get it to work. Needless to say, my BOI Mastercard won't work either.

Neither my VISA or Mastercard will work on US PSN.

I currently use an Entropay card, but I think Sony blocked that method for new registrations a while back.

Apparently Mastercard never worked, my visa is from bank of Ireland.

The best way I found is, logging into your US psn account on the PC and adding the credit card to your account from there. Your card details have to be accurate, but your address can be total bullcrap.....

I've tried my credit card on numerous occasions and also using the fake address I used for US account to no avail. I have Socom US version and new map packs etc were released 3 weeks earlier in US then the EU. I bought a US Playstation Network Card (PSN card) from

It costs $5 extra for a $20 card but a lot of the stuff on US store is better and cheaper than EU so cant complain. You can also pay by Paypal which is a lot safer. And they email you the code within 5 mins.

I got it to work using entropay. I just did exactly as this said and it worked. I was able to buy Burnout Paradise on the U.S store last night. I then got the email from entropay saying my account was suspended because I had changed the address to a U.S address. About half an hour later I had another email from them saying my account was reactivated and I had 72 hours to change my address back to an Irish address which I did, so my account is now back in good standing. I haven't tried to purchase anything else since on the U.S. store but according to that other post it should work fine from now on.

I avoided all that change of address business by setting up a US$ card with a US address.

I have a good mate living in the US, so I might just get him to sort me out with a US PSN Card. Thanks for all the help though guys!
