Clontarf/Blackrock- Looking to join a running group.

    Hi,

I am new to running, last year I ran the Bupa 10K and a Triathlon (5K). My goal for 2010 is to do more running, approx twice per week, and build up to complete a Half Marathon, by the end of the summer..

I am looking for a club that offers this type of group training/running sessions so that I can keep motivated throughout the year.. It is too easy to put off running (especially in this weather).

I live in Clontarf and Work in Blackrock so either location would suit.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Maybe try Raheny Shamrocks?

Raheny Shamrocks are a super club and you won't meet a nicer group of people.

If however you are looking for something slightly less competitive there is a ladies group that runs from Clontarf Seafront a number of days during the week.

Thanks for the information.. Do you know if there is a similar group for men?

Yeah sorry did think after I posted that you might be male alright:o

If your not intimidated by running with ladies am sure it won't be a problem. But to answer your question I actually don't know of a mens group I am afraid in Clontarf, sorry.
