WOW 500 points, amazing stuff! Alot better than Tom Segal managed I notice..

Do you always back HT with PP Mike? I use Betfair Rapid but you always seem to get better odds by maybe a point or so.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

PP is my default choice but the price you get depends on speed rather than the bookie you use, I just refreshed the races and now the odds are 7-1 and 13-2

the problem/secret with HT is that you have about 20secs to put your bets down after his tips are up, 2mins later price is gone.

I'm sure at this stage given hughs record prices are hard to get, some of his selections are going off at rediculous prices

Hats off to the Bastard! I had Ride a White Swan and Sunshine Always. Both second to HT's selections.

Incidentally, Crowley could have given ride of the week if he'd gone a little bit earlier on Sunshine. I was watching him, going, "What are you waiting for JIM!!?"

Glad you boys made it pay:)

Around the €60 euro mark, as it depends on the payout for each way whether it was 1/4 odds or 1/5. The paddy power calculator on its home page does it for you

Was it win only today the 2nd was only bet a head another couple of yards he would have been up.
Hugh is in fine form I'm even considering following him myself, usually stay away from tipsters I prefer to know the trainers and owners fancy them rather than a tipster but his record speaks for itself I honestly believe he has revoloutionised tipping with all his stats.
A true story here got a phone call recently to back a horse for certain English owners, usualy craic told to be in the bookies at a certain time word came to back a certain horse at all prices down to 12s but unfortunatly Hugh tipped it up and the priced had gone. Needless to say the owners didn't back it they laid it to be placed on betfair instead and sure enough it wasn't placed .

If I can go e/w I will. I'd sooner get something back than nothing, esp when doubled up.

Might pay to take note of this horses who run well without winning, as Turf Time won today at 10/3. The name struck a cord with me this morning and I only realised after that he was a tip from HT.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 987 ✭✭✭diverdriver

As I mentioned in a previous thread. I found there is some benefit in opposing HT's tips. Not that they're bad. But they don't win that often. But they do generate a profit long term as they are good value at advised prices, that being the problem. You cannot always get the advised price. But they are worth a punt.

I have been opposing his bets for on and off for a while with some success. But it occurred to me that if I bet both. It might work as well. Today for example. I went each way on his tip and on The Great Husk which came third beating his tip. The fav won but was way too short.

If I can I will put up my idea of the winner just to give you an idea. I wouldn't suggest betting on them. Pick your own. We'll just see how it works.

Oh yes and Careca's suggestion is a good one too.

Had him posted up in my thread, saved my day by being loyal to him and backing him again. (Backed him a good few times)

    Perseverance eventually pays off!.

HT has his favorite horses too. He tipped Mister Pete back in december but that's nothing comparing with Dalradian that he unsuccessfully tipped four times last year but didn't tipped that day when horse actually won :D
