    Hi just a quick question.
    The subjuntive always causes me hassle i am just wondering could someone please confirm if this sentence is correct please.

    Es verdad que las conversaciones entre alumnos sean importantes

    I have learned 'es X que' + sub

    although a native speaker told me she would use "es"

    NO es verdad que las conversaciones entre alumnos SEAN importantes
    Es verdad que las conversaciones entre alumnos no SON importantes

    I don't know the rule (or exception) in this case, but as a native I can confirm that daisk is right.
    in fact now that i think of it you use the indicative for "es verdad que". maybe an exception?
