    Hello!

Im looking for a long set of steep stairs in or around dublin city to train on over the next few weeks (dont worry I wont run when its icy). The longer the better.

Anybody know any good spots? I think I recall a long set of steps in blackrock park, but its ages since i was there, can anyone tell me if I'm right?

    Cheers

Try Bray Head coming up from the promenade. The steps don't last long but it is quite steep all the way to the top and should be similar to a long stairway.

If you go down thomas street towards James hospital....just after the road splits (one road leading to james hospital, the other to Kilmainham) there's a good section of steep enough steps. Not massively long but worth checking out.

Out of interest what type of training are you doing? Always wondered about the pro's and con's of doing steps....it seems to be something runners just dont do?

Hi, you should contact (or PM) ‘Wounded Knee’ here, he raced up the Empire State building last year and would have done most of his training in Dublin.

He’d also be good for advice re. potential injuries etc
