well from my own experience i travelled the world from may 06 to may 07, started on the books with a fella then in sept 07, got let go in april 09, first time ever going down to sign on, and i was entitled to feck all they said, cos of that year away i hadn't enough stamps paid in the last 2 years or something, disgraceful after paying taxes for 12 years, they put me on JSB which was means tested and about 10 weeks after i first applied i was getting 130 a week,
tis a mighty country we're in

that can't be right? unless they've tightened up with all the pressure to cut public spend.
i worked ten years myself, went to oz for a year and a half and claimed and received jobseekers benefit when i returned.
    can you appeal?
