No Channel 4, E4, More 4?

I have a standard Sky+ sub (€30 per month) with RTE, all the Sky channels and BBC, etc.

But for some strange reason, I am getting a blue screen on Channel 4, Channel 4+1, E4/E4+, More 4 and More 4+1. Film 4 is OK. They all appear fine on the EPG.

Anyone know the reason for this? My satellite signal looks fine, signal strength is 60%, signal quality is 80% on both inputs. Tried a full system re-build but no good. Any way of tuning in Channel 4 separately (would prefer to do it via the EPG obviously and not through 'Other channels')?

    Does it say No Signal?

No, just a blue screen - get a very garbled picture now and again - slightly misaligned dish (although strength/quality looks fine)?

If you have a cordless telephone nearby plug it out. Dect/cordless house phones cause interferance with certain channels.

Bingo :D - plugged out our cordless phone and those channels are back!

But how can a cordless phone operating at a certain frequency cause interference on a satellite signal?

Any easy workaround or do I need to change my phone?

Because the freqs are very close to satellite IF which is carried in the cable. It may be poorly screened cable so no easy workaround I'm afraid.
