    Hi,

I have just started on my third pair of Mizuno Wave Riders (recommended by Amphibian King after gait analysis), pair 1 consigned to history last week after a year (kept them far too long I now realise as they were causing foot problems), pair 2 are coming up on 7 months old and in this seven months have seen a fair few miles. Thus need to get a new pair pretty soon.

Question for you guys is should I stick with the Wave Riders, I see version 13 is now available or go with a different but similar shoe. The only other proper running shoes I had were Pegasus around 3 years ago which I found fine.

I've not had any real issues with the WR's, just wondering is is better to stick with the same shoes or rotate two different pairs of shoes.

All opinions welcome (especially wave rider wearers).

    Cheers.

I wore a few pairs of kayanos and they caused me no problems. When lunarglides came out I took the risk and moved to them and I haven't looked back. I love them, not only are they lighter but they're so much more comfortable than the kayanos. I've done a lot of rotating in the last two and half years and kept going back to kayanos though I doubt I'll venture away from the lunarglides now(and saucony fast twitch actually I got a pair of them recently and they too are amazing). If you can find a good deal on a different pair I'd give them a try.

Whats the story with Lunaglides? Are they specific only to training short distances or could they be used for long runs over 8 miles or for races?

Id be interested to hear some feedback on the lunar glides!!
I agree with RQ,goo to rotate the shoes.
something similar would be saucony triumph, nike pegasus, brooks glycerin,
    adidas glide,asics nimbus/Kinsei
Mizuno Wave Rider a nice light shoe so maybe get something a little heavier !!!

I wore the Lunarglides in the DCM. They were fine up to marathon distance. I've also worn them many times on 18 - 20 mile runs although I did really ease myself into wearing them for longer distances as I was used to the cushioning asics so I was quite cautious.

I've run about 400 miles + lots of gym work in the first pair I bought and they're still going strong - so in that respect they'd be similar to the kayanos.

I buy them online usually but they sell them in JJB and I think arnotts stock them aswell. From buying online the cost generally ranges from around 80 - 100 euro in different online stores.
