EQ is Cork’s newest live music night, set up to give emerging bands a chance to showcase their original material live. With 3 fantastic acts per night EQ guarantees a night of great music, great bands in a great venue and it won’t even cost a thing. That’s right entry is free.

Cork has always has a vibrant band scene, and now more so than ever there is no shortage of talented groups, many of who you might not even have heard of. This is what EQ is all about – giving these bands an equal chance to get up on stage and show you what they’ve got.

There are so many phenomenal bands in Cork right now, some just starting out, some playing for years. These are the bands that could become the future big names, these are the bands that you could get to look back on and say you saw playing in the beginning. These bands are the raw talent that gives Cork its reputation for great live music. You get the chance to see these bands now and support them and the live music scene in Cork.
This January EQ is proud to begin in one of Cork’s finest live venues – The Crane Lane Theatre.

On January 29th EQ presents 3 outstanding local acts at The Crane Lane Theatre:
    Circus Cat:
Four Cork lads who play guitars, drums, and rock 'n' roll. That’s one description. F*&*g fantastic, explosive, lively and hugely entertaining is another.

    Ugly Beautiful:
Alternative dirty, gritty rock with driving rhythms and sweeping melodies pitted against raw edgy sounds.

    Dirty Fix:
The Next Generation of Fundamentalists or damn good rock band? Or Both…….
