Closed down today at three, saw a van there taking away loads of stuff. The recession claims another victim. There will be no local shops left at this rate.

    EDIT: Looks like renovations.

With everyone heading out to the Crescent Shopping Centre it's hardly suprising that local shops are finding it hard to survive. ;)

do you have any proof of this.

its looks to me as they are doing a refit of the shop.

he closed at 6pm not 3pm

    and its called Johnseys

they are still in there now doing work.

Johnsey's had aplanning application in for an extension recently. I believe he was turned down. I suspect he is re-fitting. Very popular and busy shop.

Johnsey's address is 47 O'Callaghan Ave, Kileely, Limerick so it is in Kileely.

I hope it isn't true...I am writing my thesis on Independent Retailers in Limerick later on in the year and I had pin pointed Johnseys for one to interview!!!

At this rate I will nearly be changing the topic, its a struggle to find retailers as it is!

The question is, is his shop on O'Callaghan Ave or Sexton St north as one is in Kileely and the other is in Thomondgate.
