Getting the car serviced in Belfast...

    Rang Bavarian in Belfast this morning as car is due a service.

    It had the 1,500kms oil change done so the next one is oil & filter, brake fluid and pollen IIRC.

    E470 all in with Bavarian (price is the price, quote was given there on the spot), same service in Dublin BMW dealer the first suspect thing was "I'll call you back in about 20 mins with a price".. when they did call back 20 mins later I was told it would be E707! I politely told the guy what the quote was up North and he just said I can't get anywhere near it.

    Also pricing a new wheel at the moment, same 19" double spoke M3 alloy is E1,200 down here, it's E800 in Bavarian. Madness!

    I'll be taking a day off later this month and get it done.

    Not bad, but can beat that.

    We've just been quoted €1,200 + VAT to replace a Xenon headlamp in a 2008 Pathfinder in a Nissan dealer in Dublin.

    Nissan Enniskillen (sp?) quoted £400 + VAT.

    Guess where that's being done?
