Water filtration, what do you do?

Shortly going to take delivery of a new gaggia classic and with a bit of luck, start pulling some decent shots at home instead of having to pop out to the local coffee shop :)

Anyway, I'm curious about what you all do, if anything, in regard to filtering the water that your machine uses?

I'm lucky insofar as the water at home is soft and I don't have to worry about limescale which means I just use tap water. If you're the type who has to frequently replace kettles due to limescale than I'd recommend getting a Brita type filter jug.

The kettle is brand new (moved into new place recently) so cant tell how hard the water is :)

I'll keep an eye on it.

Rather that waiting for the appearance of lime scale in a kettle, a quick call to you county council water dept should clarify matters. they should be able to tell you the hardness of your water based on your location.
