Are you better, now your prestige?

Since going prestige I noticed myself upgrading exactly what I want/need rather than the excitment of unlocking everything.

I'm using the Famas a lot more than the first time around, its acuracy is amazing.

whats your take on it? Was it worth prestiging?

Havent prestiged yet, and i might not bother............did you get an extra custom class? I've seen on some youtube vids lads with close to 10 custom classes, that would be my only reason for doing it, in fairness i use fairly basic setups like m4, sleigth of hand-stopping power-ninja/steady aim etc so it wouldnt really be that much of a setback for me to build it all up again.

Ya I defo think it's worth prestiging if not just to get the extra mastery type titles and emblems for the different guns. And unlocking stuff just gives you something to do as well like! I do find myself more focused on what I want. Like now that I know what the pro of various perks do, I'm less likely to go for them to see what they are and just get the ones I want.

yeah I did, each prestige gets one extra slot I think.

I use a lot of different classes and im always changing them, both to suit the type of game and to upgrade all the perks, weapons

Its reseting all your weapons and Xp back to zero. you essentially start again.
you do get to keep all your statistics like kills, deaths etc and all your emblems and titles your earned again.

you also get an extra custom slot each time you prestige and you get a lot more challenges for weapons, perks, killstreaks etc

It's deffo worth it to keep the game fresh and to make you think twice about the weapons you've learned to use/like

I'm lv65... pretty sure I'll prestige.

Im 68 just waiting for that last push, Hoping that I won't have to rely on my M16 as much as I did with this one.

Do killstreak rewards reset too?

Good info, ill definitly give it one shot, i do need another class, fed up going into games whiel still fiddling with a class. Only problem is that i only play sabotage and it takes ages to level up...........still, worth it though

I'm on my 5th prestige now, and each time i prestige im finding leveling quicker, im not sure if its because i've gotten better, or just that im sticking to the things i know im good at and getting the huge xp bonus' from them. The extra custom slots are handy enough, but not really needed for me as i have 3 main classes i play

Knife speed (tar21, tactical knife with magnum, throwing knife, lightweight, marathon, commando) - For maps like terminal, favela, highrise. Basicially anything where you can easilly get to the enemy spawn point and wreak havock.

Sniper - Intervention with acog/thermal and fmj, random shotgun, claymore. scavenger, stoppingpower and ninja. Great for some maps, dire for others.

And then 2 combos of my absolute rapeface setup. M4a1 with red dot and fmj, akimbo g18's Throwing knife of semtex. Bling , stoppingpower and steady aim pro.

Just went prestige yesterday.

It was quiet hard coming near the end it required a good bit of xp to rank up.

im going to focus on challenges this time to rank up, going prestige has put me in step back mode.

Before I was playing everyday to rank up , now im more relaxed.

hey tallon thanx for joinin my irish clan!! i have to say that im leveling up in prestige alot faster than i did first time round. im currently lvl 65 first prestige, and just like u, im always changing my classes. when i first started mw2 i never used the famas but im starting to use it alot now since i prestiged. u always get cool titles and emblems for doing absolutely nothing in prestige. im wondering should i prestige again though?? i really like the ak-47!!

i did 2 prestiges and stopped since this prestige hack crap happened which devalues the sense of achievement for me anyway. Not gona do anymore unless i get really bored or a double xp weekend comes up i dont think ive really become a better player prestiging though because i use alot of the basic weapons/perks

I've just hit level 60 and will probably Prestige as it will give a great challenge and a test of my ability. Can't see myself prestiging more than once though.

Probably will prestige eventually alright...just to give me something to do in the game....although I have started to try and get my k/d ratio up a bit so that is something I could work on.

Anyone know when there is gonna be a double xp weekend ?

im lvl 63 on my first prestige and im going to prestige again I think its worth it cos it makes you try out new guns.

I was just wondering tho do the veteran and master/prestige challenges reset? i heard they dont. im about 600 hundred kills away from 2500 with my uzi

Veteran challeneges carry through after you have prestiged , i got my 1000 kill veteran challenge completed with my Striker shotgun only last week & got a nice new shiny emblem

In other news though, i was playing a game last night and I ran out of ammo, knifed a guy and got his AK

Then went on to get a 23 kill streak and finish the game 36-2-1

Christ I hate the AK...it's fugly and highly inaccurate...the sound off it though is fantastic
I look at guns and go..ok..that's a nice looking gun ..I'll use that one..
It mightn't be the best but I'll adapt to it...
Definitely gonna prestige again..I have all my classes set up for hardcore such as ACR/M4/M21 and they're not really suited for normal mode.
So I want about 2-3 classes set up correctly for normal mode.
eg Sniper with stopping power etc/ Scar-H with stopping power..

im not going to bother to prestige i love the ak-47 way too much it was my favorite gun in cod 4 and if u ask me it looks like the recoil was lowered in it as well now i can put a silencer on it without it kicking on me like a mule on steroids;)

I haven't prestiged and having done so on MW1, can't see myself doing it this time around. I don't play for accolades/medal/whatever, have enough custom classes so can't see a reason to give up the goods tbh.

I think I'll prestige. The hope is I'll be pissed off with no weapons/perks and I might actually stop playing. I just can't see myself doing it more than once, what a slog!

I'm on my third prestige, the best thing about prestiging is getting 30+ kills in TDM at rank 10 with **** weapons/perks/attachments!

I think the ironic thing about MW2 (same with COD4 too) is that people's rank doesn't necessarily dictate their ability in the game, which can be rather annoying. It's partially why I haven't invested much time into it tbh

Same for me. I've been in games where some guy ranked 33/34 makes bits of everything around him for 5 or 6 rounds in a row, while level 2 and 3 prestige guys were the worst performers.

In a lot of cases, rank can be indicative of skill, but sometimes it's very obvious that someone has prestiged only because they never stop playing the thing, not that they're actually any good at it.

I have noticed this too but i blame alot of it on the host, it reminds me of gears of war. The host was like the Terminator!
