Anyone know if the building that Ability Education Centre was in is being used currently?

And if not, anyone know who owns it?

The Abylity College was housed in the snooker hall on Carriage Road, AFAIR. It is not currently being used, but is right across the road from Duignan's new shopping centre site, and is right on the rail line, so L don't expect anything will go in to the site soon.

It's looking a bit shabby and derelict, and flooded during the monsoon summer just past....

Why did the Abylity close down?

Any idea who would know who owns the building?

Or do you know any other places suitable for running courses?

I think it was a private second level college, and the market wasn't there any more for it. I don't think it is fit for any purpose as a training centre at all right now, it will have to be demolished. Whoever owns it? Who knows. It was rumoured to be a site for Aldi before the O'Mahony's site on Brew's Hill was acquired by them and is currently being developed.

A few buildings in the town have been used as schools in the past such as The Order of Malta Hall on Academy Street, and the O'Mahony's hall at the clubhouse. If it's a night course you are thinking of running, you might try the CYMS beside the church....
