I got a 10e voucher once. And I've spent millions there.

€10 more than I've got, and I've spent billions (1,000 times as much as you)

To the OP - doesn't seem to make any real difference - setting up an account just seems to enable you to track your orders (in my case to confirm exactly how much I have spent!)

    Don't do that.

I did that recently, checked the value of all my previous orders, it not good to look at these things! :p

If you pay by paypal then you already have an account under the paypal email address. You just need to request the password for it.

There prices are already among the most competitive out there, plus there is free shipping, so I don't think anyone expects them to hand out vouchers like wiggle do.

In fact, even with vouchers wiggle rarely come out on tops for me anymore.

Only problem is this damn christmas postal service and icy roads!

Delete your invoices, burn receipts, shred packaging....you must never know what you have spent. And if it breaks, just buy a new one.

Actually for Shimano stuff, it's often cheaper to try and source it from Germany.

E.g. I'm looking at some D-A bar end shifters

    CRC price - GBP69.99
    bike-components.de price - E59.99

Postage isn't free from bike-components.de and it's a bit slower, but add in a couple of more things and it'd be worthwhile (e.g. they sell dynamo headlights which CRC don't sell.)

There's purchase insurance with a credit card on the product - if you use paypal then the product is the payment service and not the item being shipped. I would always use a credit card wherever possible. Much more security than pp

On the other hand, on one of my orders with CRC an item didn't turn up. I mailed their support address, heard nothing back in 5 days. I opened a paypal dispute, they responded within a couple of business hours and had it shipped out that day.

Maybe there was a mistake or it went missing, I've bought enough from them that there have been a few issues whether with warranty or stuff missing from orders and they were always exemplary at sorting it out. Wiggle too for that matter.

I ordered some stuff there the other day but when I check my account, there's no history of any order being made for that date.

Absolutely, I've (almost) no problem with the fact an item wasn't there, I'd almost call it an inevitability that something will eventually go wrong when ordering lots and lots of stuff online. It's definitely not going to influence whether I'll buy from them in the future.

I was more making the point that it was the Paypal dispute that really got their attention rather than mailing, hence paying through Paypal might not be a bad idea. :)

This happened to me too, it turns out I have two accounts, by accident. The first was under my email address which I used to setup my account for payment by Credit Card. Then when I checked out with paypal (different email address) another time I got a new account with it too but didn't realise this until months afterwards! Now I have two lists of stuff which I have ordered from them. Not good! :p

That may be the problem. They're going to get a bit of business from me soon so probably best I lose track of what I order.

Yeah, that's a bit bizarre. I remember they were charging for next day shipping at one point, so I selected that but then the order was sent out by regular post. So I sent them a mail and within a day they'd refunded the shipping cost to my card.
Maybe your email got lost or accidentally deleted, as can occur :)
