Insurance Crash Query

My sister's car, 02 1.6 Primera Saloon, was hit during Christmas from behind while it was parked by a jeep that could not stop with ice on the road.

From looking at it, it looks to be a write-off, boot, bumper, back drivers door and also chassis bent.

The car has 120k miles on the clock.

If the Assessor writes the car off, what way do they reimburse my sister?
The Jeep's driver has Fully Comp and has been in constant contact since the incident.

You're sister is entitled to a car of the same value as hers was at the time of the accident. They will give her a cheque for this amount.

the assessor checks the damage and if it is uneconomical to repair (A write off) ...then she/he will inform the insurance company and a payment will be made - of the book price/current market value of the car.

if you have a search through online websites for the same make/model it will give you a guide price of what the insurance company will offer.
