New job. Where to park the bike in Dublin city centre?

Hey all, I'm ending five months of unemployment tomorrow as I start a new job on Lower Abbey Street. Thing is I'll be cycling in from Booterstown but since it's a few years since I've actually worked in the capital I'd be interested to know where I can park the bike. I'll be using two locks and would like to be as close to the office as possible.
    Thanks all,
    CB.

You could try Drury Lane which is the Council's relatively new facility.

If that's a bit far from work you could sign up for a Dublin Bike for that part of the commute.

Alternatively, outside Pearse st Garda station with two mothers of U locks and some cabling might be enough, but if it's a good bike regularly parked there I wouldn't hold out much hope in the long term.

Word of warning- I work in the same area, and a couple of colleagues have had back wheels nicked from bikes locked to the racks on Abbey Street. (Unlocked back wheels, yes. I know, I know...;)) Definitely go for the two locks.

The area in front of Store Street Garda Station (behind Busaras) should be okay. Closer than that, the best on-street rack is probably the one just beside the entrance to the Abbey Theatre on Marlborough Street (opposite the chipper and snooker shop). I see a handsome Pashley there often enough and it seems safe enough- overlooked and busy. Or you could try Talbot Street- the two racks near the entrance to the Irish Life Shopping Arcade look fine.

And a final piece of advice- you will be tempted to cycle down the Luas line to O'Connell Street. Be careful on the tracks! :)

PS Welcome to the neighbourhood. I can recommend Tea Time Express on Talbot Street for cakes.

Edit: I see you mention it's an office. It'd be worth checking to see if there's cycle parking in the building.

No chance of that at all. They've yet to come around tot the joys of two wheel self propulsion in there. Thanks for the advice. I'll try near the Abbey. Two locks all the way.
