Training with a cold

    advice, have had a head cold for 10 days now, still have it. havent been to the gym over the xmas and need to get back into it, as routine all out of sorts, what would your advice be on training with a cold? do or dont?

    10 days it is time to go to the doctor. GYM is not the place for you

    I dont feel sick with it, just a head cold, and have taken 2wks off the gym already. thought going to gym might help with my energy levels

    It'll most likely make it worse then better.

    If you've had it for 10 days and you cant shift, then you need to rest a bit, eat good foods, early nights etc.

    Head colds aren't too hard to get rid off, its just ppl don't slow down for them.

    As said, get better then train.

    If its a viral infection then going to the gym will lower your immune system in the short term which can expediate the spread of the flu which may put you back in the long term. (I asked my friend from third year med school)
