Upgrade to Sky+ HD with no phone line?

    I don't have a landline at home. I have Sky+ and paid a charge at installation for them not to require it.

    I'd like to upgrade to HD. Can it be done without the phone line?

    Yes, you can have a single box install / upgrade without the use of a phoneline. The engineer does a manual activation of your card ie. calls Sky and pairs the card with the new box, instead of doing the call back through the phone line.

    A phoneline is just needed where there are multiple boxes installed so Sky are aware of the location of boxes on a single account.
