Hi, I am starting back in the gym after the Christmas binge....I want to lose some weight, but snacking is my real problem! Has anyone tried hypnotherapy? Does it work? Can I do a cd/dvd rather than forking out for session with a therapist, which i really can't afford!
    Thanks!
    :P

Have you a history of seriously attempting to lose weight using different systems and failing despite giving it 100%? If so it may be worth looking into otherwise considering you don't have money to burn spend the money on fresh fruit and veg and a few good nutrition books and you'll be able to figure it out.

BlondePrincess - I just discovered a "secret" to weight loss. I dont know if many people in Ireland have heard of it yet but it was a feature in a daily news paper a few weeks ago.

Its called - "The slim girls box of secrets" by Ali Campbell.

I'm thinking of trying it out myself, they have a guarantee that if you dont lose a stone in 4 weeks you are entitled to a full refund, no questions asked.

It is around €106 euro I think but it includes, A 240 page book of secrets, A style guide, 2 CD's and 2 DVD's.

I am really tempted to try it. Only thing is, i came on here looking to see if anyone else has bought this box yet and had any results, i cant seem to find a forum with REAL people using it.

    www.theslimgirlsboxofsecrets.com

    That's the website.
If you decide to try it, please let me know. Im thinking of starting it soon. Well as soon as I come back from holiday anyway!

Good Luck if you do try it!!

It promises 14lb or more weight loss in a month. And you aren't hearing warning bells ring?

Not really, for the simple fact that people can do that in a month on the likes of Weight Watchers and with doing good exercise.

I would imagine that the with saying You can lose 14lbs in one month there would be some exercise and diet change involved, that is what is promised.

On one of the DVD's there is a workout session but none of us really know what is expected on that DVD.

I was on Weight Watchers before, I lost 7lbs in the first week, a further 3 the following week and 2 the week after and so on.

Im sure when they say you can lose 14lbs in a month, it can be done.

Whether or not its a healthy way or you would put it back on, I have no idea.

But I see where you are coming from, it sounds like alot. But in reality, People who are over-weight by a good amount would most definitly lose 14lbs in a month. If they do the exercise and eat properly.

I tried hypnoterapy last year in July to help me stop smoking and ...well it works however I would say this... you need to want to stop!
I had all the reasons and motivation to do it but I knew that I didn't have the will to stop by myself.
The person who hypnotised me also does sessions for weight loss however you need to do more than one and the success rate is lower than the stop smoking sessions of which you only need one by the way.

Have you ever tried "I can make you thin" by Paul McKenna? That might be a less expensive solution.

Yeh, Paul McKenna is the guy who trained Ali Campbell who made this pack. - Pauls books are supposed to be great and his shows are excellent!

I watched one of his shows and I have not eaten a packet of crisps since. He's fantastic. Gillian McKeith is amazing also I think. I know its not hypnotherapy but she's great!:D
