Alright so no matter how hard i try i cant get Nat Type 2. I have a Netopia 2247-62 ADSL Router. I'm With Fairpoint Communications. I have tried opening ports, trying software hosting with PS Network. But i keep getting NAT Type 3. I have a Static IP Setup, I dont believe there is a DMZ on my router.

Are you using a lan cable or wireless? use lan if possible.
Get in touch with your provider and ask them for ALL their dns codes, try them in different orders.
    Try ports again.

Do an online speed test with a pc or laptop, whats your download & upload and ping?

Dont even waste your time. I have lost days on trying to set this up on eircom router. Never worked for me. Then bought cheapest linksys adsl router. It took me 4 minutes to set nat2.

agreed. You will go crazy trying to get the netopia router giving you NAT2. uPnP does not seem to work at all.

Buy a cheap netgear router and it will work within 10 minutes of setting up. Give the new router the same SSID and password, encryption etc and you will not even have to configure your other devices on the network.
