Should those little ba$tards not all be dead around this time of year??

I ask because my sitting room is full of them and no, nothings dead. Unless everyone didn't make it home from christmas and I've lost my sense of smell...

Any stale food left around? My sister had the same problem, tons of tiny flies all over the kitchen, couldn't figure out why until she searched the place thoroughly. Her flatmate had left a small bag of rotten potatoes in a cupboard, hidden away, probably there at least a month.

The only place I see flies at this time of year is in Fibber Magee's.

We had those little f*ckers that constantly hang around the light fitting in the centre of the room in the last place I was in - little bastards. They're f*ckers to get rid of and I always think they're really scummy. My ex was really untidy though and there could have been literally anything lying around.

Also, what's the story with those big ones you get sometimes, and when you try and kill them they go f*cking mental and frighten the sh*t out of me so that I end up running out of the room. It's like trying to kill them has pissed them off and then they start going haywire doing kamikaze manoeuvres bouncing off walls and ceiling and intimidating me by flying past me and missing my face.ears by a couple of mm. They really freak the f*ck out of me. It's better to just open a door or window with those ones rather than getting in a straight fight with one.:eek:

Apparently, they've mutated so that they can cope with the cold. Get used to it. Same with spiders.

They are probably fruit flies. Check your fruit bowl. There should be no other reason for small flies.

Fruit flies work on rotting fruit. The leave fresh fruit alone. But no harm checking it.

Also check the drains in your sink. Old food is a breeding ground for them

Also, the reason I had a pop at that guy is because of what he said to another user.

It was a nasty comment and me having a pop at him about his sig pales in comparison.

That's what bugged me, the sig I could care less about -just wanted him to realise it's not that nice for someone to make a comment like that.

Also, I'm far from a Mod, so why would someone take anything I say as an order.

No ban for the unwashed comment, and yes it was in jest.... humour escapes so many people.

If you weren't worried about the sig, no need to mention it. If you didn't like the comment, use the report post button. And to be honest, if it was reported I'd have looked and laughed at it. But you would have aired your concern.
