    Hi,

I'm moving apartments soon and I'm looking to get NTL Broadband in the new one. Can you get Broadband only from NTL, or do you have to take basic cable aswell?

I found some threads on this from 2006, but not sure what the up-to-date policy is from NTL?

You can get broadband only - but you have to pay them €6 on top of the BB package for the privilege.
Maybe spend two seconds reading their site? ("Price shown is when added to existing TV connection. Broadband is an additional €6 without TV.")

UPC are a crowd of sneeky sods. I ordered 20MB Broadband and Phone (Anytime World) a couple of months back. Obviously I went to the Phone and Broadband section of their web-site - no mention of the extra charge - €60 total a month. I checked everywhere and phoned to check and was told it no longer exists. Well it does. And Broadband and Anytime World actually costs €66 not €60. If I'd wanted TV I'd have gone to the TV, Phone and Broadband section.

€6 extra standalone charge. What does standalone charge mean?? I have two products: Broadband and telephone!

Now I see they've changed their web-site for their Fibre Power Broadband launch (whatever that is). No Phone and Broadband section. The standalone charge is now €8.

standalone is without any tv product, Anologue or Digital... 6 or 8 euro... still better than 25 line rental charge?!

If I'm not mistaken if you have any broadband package you still get their analogue tv service so the extra €8 for just having broadband and no tv package is probably to cover this.
