Freesat questions . . .

Question One; Having recently got a freesat dish & twin LNB, I now have all the stations I could ever wish for on two TVs (+ no subscription free) :) but whats the catch? can I really hope to keep receiving BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, CHN4, SKYN on my 60cm dish for free, whithout any strings? > bloody brilliant if I can!

Question Two; Why do some shops sell satellite splitters? I ask this, because a splitter may be €12.99, and a 'Twin LNB' may be €35+ and yet I have been warned to keep well away from splitters! > surely the freesat splitter would do the same job as a Twin LNB? or are satellite splitters to avoided at all costs?

    Yours very curious.

Presume you meant FreeSat not FreeView (easy mistake to make!)

Q1. Yes it is completely free and will remain so. Wiki is your friend: FreeSat

Q2 is one for the techies! Again, Wiki to the rescue: Low Noise Block
