    Hi,

Recently I had my coilovers swapped for TEIN adjustables but one of them is now damaged. The top nut came off and the shock dropped down and with a few bumps on the road it has damaged the threads on the top of the shock and the cap on the top has been ruined in addition to the missing nut.

Does anyone know somewhere that refurbs shocks?

As the car is obviously undriveable like this I need it done ASAP so an Irish comapny would be great but will look at the UK also so pls post any contacts you know of!

    Hi,

Are you looking for damper specific work or just a rethread of the top part?

If the latter then I think you might get a positive response from a precision engineering company. I recently visited Collins engineering in Bray to get my wheels refurbed. Excellent workmanship and plenty of kit in his workshop.

You could do worse than give them a call. I think the guys name is Liam.

    Good Luck.

Yep, any half decent engineering company should be able to rethread the top and give you a locking but for the top.

Thanks very much for the responses!!

I know Collins Engineering as they refurbed 4 wheels for me last year an did an incredible job!

It needs a proper refurb as the adjuster on the top is definately damaged. I really need someone who knows what they are doing to do the work.

Anyone know who the TEIN agents are around ireland?
