Difference between US & EUR macbook batteries?

I bought a macbook in the states a few years back and the battery needs replacing soon.

Does anyone know if the batteries used in US and Euro models are identical or would I need to source a US one?

    Thanks.

They should be exactly the same part. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to produce region incompatible parts as it would add cost.

    Great thanks.

The batteries are identical. In fact, even the power supplies are identical, though you do obviously get a US power lead instead of a UK one.

I bought a MacBook battery from Hong Kong and it worked fine if that helps.
