PS3 Live-Streaming via HDMI cable

Tried googling the above to see if anybody else had the same problem. Have been watching the darts (link kindly posted on boards) on my laptop, tried it on my new TV via my new PS3 (thanks Santa) and it worked perfectly.

The brother in law gave me a spare HDMI cable he had and this evening I tried the darts again. The picture was stop/go-jerky but the sound was perfect, persumed the problem was the cable so as I said, googled the snag and it seems to be a problem alright (or is it).

I was hoping to watch movies/premiership etc via the PS3/net on the new telly, so my question is; is this an actual problem with live-streaming via HDMI and is there a cure.

I know that watching via the normal cable would be the obvious cure but it seems a pity not to use a HD input on a HD TV.

I would imagine you're experiencing lag.

Unless what ever you're watching is being streamed in HD the HDMI cable wont make much difference to the picture quality.
