Musicians wanted for Indie/folk band in south dublin.

    Hey everyone. I am looking to set up a band to play gigs and record with. I am currently involved with an english indie record label www.quixoticrecords.com and have just returned from a 25 date tour supporting squeeze lead singer Glenn Tilbrook and with a debut album comin outI am looking to put a band together.

    Session musicians played on the album which was produced by Lee Boylan whose next project is Fight Like apes second record and it will be out in February..

    I would like to make it clear I want to put a democratic band together where this will not just be my project but where if your good enough we can collaborate be it singing wise or writing wise and continue the really good progress I and the people who have played with me have been making. This includes 41 english dates, support slots with John Illsley from dire straits, Cathy Davey and numerous well known Irish performers.

    I am looking to get a really communl band feel where we all contribute and enjoy with a great stage rapport and good musicianship.

    Think mumford and sons and paolo nutinins new band for modern references.

    #serious commitment is going to be needed as we will be touring quite alot this year.

    Musicians I would love to work with:

    A percussionist( someone who plays not only drums but other stuff like cajon etc)

    A bass player

    A Keys player

    A lead guitar player.

    anyone who plays multiple instruments would be lovely!!mando banjo harmonica etc.

    singing is aother big big plus Ideally all band members will be singing in some form or another!!!

    I play rythm guitar a bit of banjo and some ****ty piano
    the song catalogue is close to 40. The myspace has a solitary song just while i gear up for puttin the new album tracks up.
