Is it weird for twins to have same friends?

I'm a twin. My twin brother and I, in general, hang around with the same group of friends.

Would this be considered weird, or is it fairly normal in today's society?

I used to have around with identical twins when we were in school. Wasn't weird to us anyway..
Why would it be any different than two brothers of similar age hanging around with the same people?

Me and my twin used to hang around with the same people. Got older and have different friends now. Wouldnt find it weird though. Why would ya feel weird?

No, its not. Nor is a brother and sister who are a few years apart hanging around with the same people. Or at least, I don't think it strange as it applies to friends who live across the road from my parents house and I've known for about 15 years.

In their case, they still hang around with people from the area, and people hang out with them who they met through different college courses. So, no, nothing strange there.

To be more specific as to the twins question, I'd probably find the opposite to be unusual. Not bad, just surprising.

Well they'd hang out out together and be in the same class in school. I think it would be weird if they didn't have the same friends.

I'm a twin and when I was younger I had the same friends, though they were more his friends than mine. It's not weird but it seems it didn't me much favours as now I don't really have the motivation or know-how to make my own friends.

Is it normal in todays society to share the same friends as your twin?
What a strange question, I would love to know why you think it is not normal or that the friends you have or share is affected by society today.

I'm a twin too, in school we had the same friends but she was closer to some people than I was, different personalities/people mean you have different tastes.
I am very good friends with her college gang and go out with them all the time without her but she does not go out with mine.

I'm friends with a few sets of twins, and nearly all of them hang around with the same groups of friends. Although obviously they'd each probably be closer to different people within the groups, and they'd also each have friends of their own from work/college etc.

Seems perfectly normal to me for twins to hang around with the same people. That said, one of my best friends is a twin and him and his brother have their own circles of friends.

I think, as a twin, its not out of the ordinary but i think its nice and actually healthy to have some different friends.

:D I just find the identical ones a bit spooky. Did you happen to catch that recent BBC doc on twins? Freaked me out!

Up as far as leaving cert i suppose its pretty normal. But if they end up with the same friends in college or after thats a little weird.

Nothing wrong with it mind you.

Me too actually. My sister is better at the whole-making ten million friends a week- thing and has actually become good friends with loads of my friends, moreso than me at this stage cause I usually have to work a lot for a few months at a time, then when I have time off, usually winter, I have to make an effort to get back out with them.
But though I love going out with my twin and whoever else, Ive realised I sort of prefer (sometimes...sorry Doozie! x) when its just me and my work friends and never let her come to any work stuff with me...caues they are myyyyyyyy friends and dont want them to associate me as being someone else! Sounds weird...dont mean it in a bad way, but we live together and do loads together so its nice having the seperation!
Davidius, there must be something you always wanted to do, like learn an instrument or do a part time course. Im starting drum lessons (cause we both into music and stuff) and I wanted to organise it for myself before she did! I might only get one or two friends out of it but its something...but still.
    :D
