Hi, Any help on this would be great.
I got my dad one of those USB Turntables for crimbo, (the ones you can transfer all your LP's onto your PC). The problem is this... He lives in the Carribean where the power is 110 volts. He has 210/240 volts in his house for all his other stuff he brought over with him but he says the cycle is different over there and therefor, the speed of the turntable may be affected ??? He thinks its 50 versus 60 thats over here or could be the other way around. Any advice ???

If the speed of the turntable is affected then you could probably run the file through Audacity (freeware)

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Those turntables often use software to transfer 78rpm's anyway.

We use 50Hz here as opposed to 60Hz there so he will need to slow down the recorded track.
