I have MBP which is not recognising my nokia E71 when connected with the USB cable in mass storage mode.
I want to transfer a file to the e71 but I can't get my mac to recognise the memory card in the phone to enable the transfer, and obviously the nokia software suite is not compatible with mac !
Anyone got any ideas why this is happening ?

Have an ancient N70 and the memory card was never recognised as mass storage either. If you have a card reader, have you tried using that?

I was able to access my Nokia via Bluetooth; OP you could try Bluetooth and see does it allow you a file swap.

I did try bluetooth, but the file goes into my inbox and then tries to install itself when I try open the message, but that is not what I want. It needs to be in the file manager to work.

iSync is an Apple program that will allow you to sync your phone with your Mac
Nokia provide a plugin for it for the E71.
    iSync plugin

Nokia Multimedia Transfer is a program made by Nokia which might do the trick.
