    Pilot in the 3rd pics looks very strange,very futuristic enclosed helmet with a teeshirt!!

    The Helmet you see is the Gentex HGU-56/P with Maxillofacial Shield. The shield is standard issue for Aerial Gunners and Flight Engineers. It can be unhooked and swung to one side or removed completely. It is designed to shield the microphone and protect the wearer from blowing sand and flying debris.
