    Hey Folks, happy new year!

Does anyone have a copy of the TI calendar for the coming year? Their website has been down for a week now. I've dropped connemarathon from my hitlist this year and want to see if there are any middle distance tris in late june/early july.

    Cheers,
    KQ

Dunno about the website, but all middle distance races in Ireland are August/September. Bala in the UK is meant to be a good race and is around then.

Came across this thru the northtipp(Nenagh Tri website-).

This is the current calendar, spent the last 2 weeks looking for it as I couldn't undertsand why they would take the calendar down , as the holiday period is when I have the time spare to look at it and plan .
    Hope it helps .

Yes there is an Irish half-Ironman next July, “the Humbert Challenge” in Swinford, Co. Mayo. Initial details are at Swinford Sports. I know that there was a bid from an Irish company (not me) to stage a branded Ironman 70.3 triathlon, but I think that’s for 2011.

    Thanks for the Cork info.

Thanks for the compliment on the IrishTriathlon.com website. The main praise is for daymobrew who did all the website development. I'm just the worker monkey adding the content.

Hi Brian, was that branded Ironman you mentioned for Galway, it has been rumoured a few lads in Galway were in advanced discussions with them

Great idea & great website Brian. There is a big gap for a decent Irish triathlon news site. This is the first I've heard of it so I assume it's new - best of luck with it. Are you the Brian Crinion involved with TryAthy? If so, I am in awe of you (& the others involved) in the brilliant organisation of this massive event. I participated for the first time last year&will definitely be back for the 2010 event.
