I lived near an RAF base for a while & we would occasionally sit by the fence & listen to ATC. A RAF trainee radioed in for permission to land & then bounced down the runway. The ATC barked back that "I only gave you permission to land once".

But the best was a Russian Pilot of an Antonov who kept arguing. They kept asking him to reduce speed on approach & at one point he said "do you want me to fall out of the f ing sky". On landing he ignored the ground controller & literally left the plane on a taxiway - it was there for a week as the airline did not have credit for refuelling !.

Click one of the 'LISTEN' buttons at http://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=eidw this page. Its delivery/ground/tower/approach, all in one, when available.

Wouldn't say all of them, I think this type of website relies on the aircraft having a radio capable of transmitting it's location. Most aircraft have them, but not all of them

Andrew, if you live in Dublin area the best bet would be to listen on airband to Shannon control (High Level).
Generally, the frequency for Dublin/Irish Sea area sector is 131.150

That way you'll hear aircraft call up on handover from London control about five minutes before they appear overhead. Usually westbound traffic can be heard (about 20 minutes after passing over Dublin) as it switches to the next sector frequency.

    Happy listening,
    N7777G
