    Hi.

Is it possible to send pictures to and from an iPhone via bluetooth? I've geard mixed answers to this query, so would like to know if anyone has tried it. I'd like to be able to send and receive pics from my wifes N97.

    Thanks

    In short, no.

An unjailbroken iPhone supports only a very limited number of Bluetooth profiles. Sending files/pictures was not considered a priority for Apple, by the looks of it.

There are a couple of apps that allow sharing files and photos over bluetooth, but they only work between iPhones.

I guess with the included data package, it's just as handy to send the pic via MMS, although doesn't that limit the size of the file that can be sent?

    Not THE Tom Dunne, surely?

An alternative is to email the photos.

MMS does not use up your data allowance. MMS does limit the total size of a file being sent.

This means that the sending handset will degrade the picture to make it fit inside the MMS size allowance (about 150 kilobytes), so if you want the pic to retain any quality, you should use email.
