iPhone Apps

    I got my new iPhone today & am totally clueless about apps!! Understand that some of them are free to download & use e.g. Flashlight etc but for example if I'm using the Facebook or 2FM app I obviously need to be connected to an internet connection so was wondering if this picks up a Wifi network before the internet connection on my phone..? Any help with understanding these would be much appreciated thanks..

    Rest assured , your phone will always use a availble wifi network before using 3G ( your sim)

    Have to correct you mixednuts.

    My wife's always goes to 3g/edge before looking for wifi (have to cancel connection & then it finds wifi). Mine does it first time every time (I'm on ready to go & have data suspended). Despite several restores & firmware upgrades & o2 checking it out... every damn time she hits the net - data.
